[Work to eliminate a barrier to student success] · Email positive Library happenings to all staff and faculty regularly. · Ask my literacy coach: “What can we do together to get more kids in my Library?” · Attend department meetings, etc. · Attend team planning meetings, · Have more collaboration with teachers. OTHER (not as dynamic) · Continue to solicit money and gift books to supplement the budget. · Update & increase my collection (comments from teachers, principals, etc. regarding age of collection) · Find ways to ease shelving burden (4th & 5th graders before school…) so I have time... · Be included each morning on announcements! · Work with language arts classes / teachers to make sure they bring classes when scheduled. · Have a book fair for the summer reading program. · Make another POWER CARD push for summer reading at the public library.
