Using CIP (Cataloging-in-Publication) information to Create a Record
Use Marc Magician to
create these new records.
If available, the CIP information is usually located on the verso of the title
page. In some newer books, it is in the back.
All the information needed to make a good basic record will be located on the
Title Page, the Verso and in the CIP.
Remember to use the Title Page information--NOT the cover!
Use cover information only when the title page and verso are incomplete.
