PURPOSE & GOALS FOR THE
MDE LIBRARY
PURPOSE
To help students learn to access,
evaluate, and use information independently.
To help students develop the love of reading.
To support teachers in leading students to be life-long learners.
GOALS
To be a welcoming and inviting
library where the librarian is friendly and helpful.
To collaborate with teachers to teach the TEKS tested on the TAKS test that
could be taught in the Library.
To include some form of reading motivation activity.
To include some technology in every lesson taught by the Librarian.
