Accelerated Reader

To motivate students to read classic literature.

Turn in form to Circ. Desk.

Form available at Library Information Center.

Students in grades 2 - 5.

It is a voluntary program.

Lunch Bunch

Schedule for Students

 

To meet with students in small groups to work on Multi-media tasks for school wide projects.

Turn in to Circ. Desk.

Form available at Library Information Center. 

Students in grades 3-5

This is a voluntary program.  Students meet in the library workroom during lunch and share stories.  Usually each group meets for 3 or 4 times.

Book Fair

To provide books for students to create their home library.  Funds from Book Fair provide for author visits and other special programs not supported through standard funds. All students and community members.

Information provided through Library Link and handouts.

Library Friends

Student Schedule

 

Students come to the library and help design the programs to be sponsored by the library.  Students also assist in the daily housekeeping of the library. Students in grades 2 - 5 may come during their recess periods. Schedule is printed and posted at the library office door.

Program is voluntary.

Book Bunch

Student Schedule

Read and review new books in the Rummel Creek Library.  After reading new books, students review the books on a morning broadcast on KRCE. 

Select books on the morning assigned.  You may select the morning you want to be on KRCE.  The morning you are on KRCE - please be at school, in the library by 7:45 for rehearsal.  We can do more than one child each day.

Fill out form and turn into the Library.  Additional information will come home from the library.

Students in grades K-2.

Program is voluntary.

Book Buddies

Student Schedule

Students will create multi-media projects for teachers in primary grades.  Students meet and work during lunch and recess in the library.  One time is scheduled, the others are at the students availability.

Sign up on form and check lists outside of the library office.  More details to come after meeting with teachers.

Students in grades 3, 4, 5.

Program is voluntary.

Books 'n Breakfast

Student Schedule

One morning a month, students and parents will meet to discuss a book (beginning with Bluebonnet Books) over a light breakfast of bagels and donuts.

Sign up on form and check titles that look interesting.  More details to come.

Students in grades 3-5.

Program is voluntary.

Parents assist with bringing breakfast.
