The Bluebonnet Reading Program was founded in 1979 and is sponsored by the Texas Library Association.  Terrace third, fourth, and fifth graders are encouraged to participate by reading 5 books from the annual list of 20 Bluebonnet Award nominees.  Each student will keep an individual record of the books they read.   In January, the students that  have read 5 books from the list will vote for their favorite book.  They will receive a special "I VOTED TODAY" sticker.  Students will also receive a certificate for reaching the Terrace goal.
