Review emphasis on Librarians' role with technology on campus:1) Technology, (everyone has access to projector, laptops, COWS), SmartBoards, Brent's list integrated IT component at all meetings, IT web page and its resources), 2) Students in the Library = Open Access, 3) Integrate lessons with TEKS as you collaborative plan and teach with your teachers. = Barry (25 min) 8:40 AM - 8:50 AM = Preview the year (Book Exhibit deadline, United Streaming training, Book Exhibit, Team meetings, etc...) = Barry (10 min) 8:50 AM - 9:30 AM = JWalk/Meriwether update = Liz (40 min) 9:30 AM - 10:00 AM = BREAK and practice on computers (30 min) 10:00 AM - 10:20 AM = New MARC Wizard = Liz & Vaughn (20 min) 10:20 AM - 10:40 AM = Spanish resources, (+ VPL) = Vaughn (20 min) 10:40 AM - 11:30 AM = Hands-on computer review of teachings 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM = LUNCH |

12:30 PM - 4:00 PM = Afternoon sessions (210 minutes) 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM = Standards = Barry (1 hour) (divide by groups to evaluate the Standards, then share out and I end with an evaluation tool). Use Standards to tie to things all year. 1:30 PM - 2:10 PM = Reference Interview (listening), and with teacher (collaboration), and with principal (advocacy). Inspiration brainstorming (Vaughn or Liz type) = Barry (30 min) 2:10 PM - 2:30 PM = BREAK 2:30 PM - 3:10 PM = TEKSLinks = Liz (40 min) 3:10 PM - 3:30 PM = Social Studies New TEKS lessons = 4 Librarians (20 min) 3:30 PM - 3:50 PM = Science New TEKS lessons = 4 Librarians (20 min) 3:50 PM - 4:00 PM = Wrap-up + Barry (10 min) |
