Friday

1:00 - 1:15 = Introductions and welcome back (share vacations) (15 min.)

1:15 - 1:35 = Purpose (30 words or less) (20 min.)

Spring Branch School Libraries exist for 2 things:

1) to help students learn to access, evaluate, and use information independently;

2) to help students to develop the love of reading.

Goals

1:35 - 2:20 = For the Library to be a welcoming and inviting place while the Librarian is a friendly and helpful person. (45 min.)

2:35 - 3:00 = Librarians will collaborate with teachers to teach the TEKS tested on the TAKS test that could best be taught in the Library. (25 min.)

3:00 - 3:30 = Every campus Library program shall include some form of reading motivation activity. (30 min.)

3:30 - 3:40 = Every lesson taught by the Librarian shall include some technology. (10 min.)

Monday

1:00 - 1:05 = Welcome

1:05 -1:15 = Announcement

1:15 - 1:45 = Barbara Jansen's deconstruction of a lesson plan into 3 columns. (turn one in by the end of each semester).

1:45 -2:00 = Break

2:00 - 4:00 = 4 core curriculum web portals (15 min. present, 15 min. explore - each subject area)

Language Arts = Liz; Math = Barry; Science = Barry; Social Studies = Vaughn
