Book Exhibit Expectations

1. Each Librarian is expected to review at least 10 books from the new books received from publishers.

2. The Librarian selects the books, reads the books (check other reviews of the books if you wish), enters the information into the Book Review database, and return the books to the Media Center.

3. Each Librarian is expected to attend the special time at the Book Exhibit set aside for Librarians (Usually the first Monday afternoon of the week of the Book Exhibit).

4. Each Librarian is expected to seriously look at the books for the purpose of making quality selection decisions.

5. Each Librarian is expected to sign-up for a time to be a host or hostess at the Book Exhibit to assist others who attend to look at the books for the purpose of making recommendations to their campus Librarian.

6. Deadlines for selecting books to review, for entering the review into the databases and for returning the books are to be followed.

THINGS TO DO WITH THE EXHIBIT BOOKS

1. Add your campus name to the white label on the back of the book. (We have stamps available for you to use.)

2. WRITE the call # you have assigned to the book on the white label. PLEASE be sure this call # matches the number you put in the database!
