Book Talk

Objective:  The student will listen to short excerpts about books.

Materials:  Books as determined by teacher/student request

Procedure/Instruction:

• Select books.
• Share a small excerpt or teaser about the book….always leave the audience hanging and ready to check out the books.

Closure/Evaluation:  Allow students to check out books from stacks.

Comments:  Lesson can be long or short and with an author or subject emphasis.  Can be done with either non-fiction or fiction.
