Matrix of Resources

Objective:  The student will differentiate between multiple reference resources.

  Materials: 

·        Examples of dictionary, magazine, almanac, thesaurus, atlas, encyclopedia,

                  newspaper, timeline, information book, internet resource (transparency)

·        Computer with Microsoft Word installed

·        LCD projector

  Procedure/Instruction:

• Select books.
• Briefly share components of each resource
• Complete matrix with students
• Demonstrate how to make a table using Microsoft Word

  Closure/Evaluation:  Allow students to create their own table using Microsoft Word.
