CREATING OVERDUE
LISTS FOR ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS
| Elementary has only one option for sorting their overdue
lists, that is by homeroom. The homeroom option in LM750 is equivalent
to 1st period because it is used by secondary as well as elementary.
There are a few things to consider when filling out the screen, they are
listed below. Please check them carefully before you click on print. Go
to LM750 and fill in the screen as I have below in the screen shot, this
will give you a basic report format of the overdue books by classroom. |
Considerations:
1. You will need to enter a date range. If you want everything
that is due to you for this year and pervious years enter the dates in
using a beginning date from a few years past using Aug. 1 and the
starting month and day, this will cover any differences in school start
dates. The ending date should always be either the current day or the
following day. Using the following day allows you to see what is due on
that day since these won't be considered overdue until the next
day.
2. The second thing to consider is report type. You can get
either a report listing the overdues in alpha order by homeroom teacher
or a slips to send home with the individual students.
3. The last thing to consider or remember is that you can get a grade
level report, but it will not be grouped by teacher, it will be in alpha
order for the whole grade level. For this option check the box next to
"class". If you want to do overdues for a class you will need
to type in the first 5 letters of the teacher's last name and the 1st
letter of the teacher's first name.
4. Last note, remember to check the "replacement cost" box so
that the price of the book shows up on the report. |
| A final note --- this is not the option you want to chose
to print overdues for a single person, that is better done in LM715. |
