Instructions for Adding Equipment Using JWALK

Back ] Up ] Next ]

1. Go to LM320 and type or scan in the barcode you are going to use for the equipment and press enter. The next pop-up asks if you want to add a group of barcodes or a single barcode. Normally you will add a single barcode, but if you are adding, say, 7 televisions that are the same you might want to select the group option so that you can put all of the barcodes in at one time and attach them to the same control number. Either way you will click on the option you will be using and the next screen will come up.
2. On the next screen you will click on the binoculars next to the box labeled control # and click on the "other" option. This will take you to a list of the equipment we have in the system. The list is in alpha order by the name of the piece of equipment, page down till you find the a matching entry. Please note that most of the equipment descriptions are pretty general, as in they don't include model #'s, some do you will need to choose the closest match. If the equipment you want to enter is not in the list email me the information and I will add it to the list. Once you have found the right listing double click on it to select and you will go back to the next screen.
3. Next you will need to enter the System and Library item groups, "EQ" is the System item group for all equipment, but there are different Library groups, click on the binoculars to get the list and select the correct one; i.e. VE for video equipment or PE for projection equipment.
4. You will need to enter the price in the box next and the fund code if that is necessary. Finally you will go down to the box next to "Serial #" and type in the serial # for ID purposes. Press enter twice and you are done.
Below is a screen shot for you to see what a completed record looks like.
