Buffalo Creek Ele. Carol Lee  
 Bunker Hill Ele. Jackie Jackson Will be starting the AR Program in August, 2001. Not for grades prizes. Students will set their own goals.

Edgewood Ele. Melanie Huckaby Began AR in 1997. It is not part of the classroom reading program.
Frostwood Ele. Cheri Jantzen Began AR in 1999. It is handled by the Librarian, it is not competitive, individuals set goals and they receive small awards when the goals are reached. (Library helper, lunch with the Librarian or counselor, etc...)
Hollibrook Ele. Jacqueline Livingston AR began in 1992 and was used until 1996. It was restarted again in the Spring of 1999.
Housman Ele. Guusje Moore AR began in 1998. The Librarian is in charge of the program, no grades are involved. Prizes include lunch in the Library, sleepovers, t-shirt paintings, Pizza, etc...
Hunters Creek Ele. Fran Miller  
Meadow Wood Ele. Sherry Johnston AR began in 1992. Some teachers give grades for AR performance, but most of the time there are rewards from the Library store.  Teachers print out 9 week AR reports.

Nottingham Ele. Janis Benefield AR program is ran by the Librarian. Some teachers require tests for grads, while some set goals. The testing is done in the classroom or Library.
Pine Shadows Ele. Resa Dunn AR began in 1999. It is ran by the Librarian and one teacher. Prizes are used as a motivator, but teachers may use tests for grades.
Ridgecrest Ele. Shirley Espinosa AR began in 1997. The Librarian is in charge of purchasing the tests and books as well as the awards program. Her assistant and the teachers run the reports.
Rummel Creek Ele. Karen Harrell AR began in 2000. The Librarian runs the reports, labeling, purchases books and tests. There is no "store", but they do have an AR Party.
Shadow Oaks Ele. Linda Alexander  
Sherwood Ele. Lucy Clampit AR began in 1990. It is ran by the Librarian and a committee. Grades are given only if the book is read in the classroom. There is a prize store for those who meet their goals.
Spring Branch Ele. Deb Stutsman AR began in 1999. The Technology Committee is in charge of it. The Librarian does not think the scores are used for grades, but the students do test in the labs in the morning.
Spring Shadows Ele. Karen Bohls AR began in 1998. The program is handled by a team. The Librarian buys the books and tests and puts on the labels. The Tech Coach handles all data and reports. Teachers have a committee to decide upon prizes. Tests are taken in the Library and in the classroom.
Terrace Ele. Cindy Maiorana AR began in 1998. The Reading committee with students determine points for prizes, no grades are involved. The program is strictly motivational and voluntary. The teachers do the reporting.
Thornwood Ele. Terry Herblin AR began in 1998. The Librarian is in charge of the program. There are no grades. Prizes consist of T-shirts, extra recess, ice cream, trip to the Book Exhibit.

Westwood Ele. Libby Nelson AR began in 1991. It is for contest points and not for grades. The Library assistant runs the reports. The daily broadcast is used to encourage AR. 
Wilchester Ele. Kathy Hopson  
Woodview Ele. Linda Cover AR began in 1996. It is a Library program, but some teachers have made participation mandatory. Extra money is given to the Library to purchase AR tests and books, especially Spanish and low level English. 
   
Landrum MS Mary Ellen Tacchi AR began in 2000 for lower levels. The program is ran by the Librarian. She does not want the teachers to use for grades. She believes:
Pride = Extended reading time.
Memorial MS Janice McAdams AR is used for the 6th grade. The Language Arts teachers handle the program in the Reference Room. She does not know if it is used for grades.
Northbrook MS Martye Armstrong  
Spring Branch MS Laura Flocks AR began in 1993. It is ran by the Technology Coach, and the PTA. Prizes and grades are used to motivate the students.
Spring Forest MS Dayna Engelmann  
Spring Oaks MS Barbara Marchand  
Spring Woods MS  Marilyn Garretson AR began in 2001. The program is handled by the reading teachers. It is not used for grades. It is supported by grants. Lower level AR books are kept in a separate collection.
