This practice has to do with students who have left one campus (sending campus) and gone to another campus (receiving campus) with unclear Library records from the first campus 1. Librarians on the receiving campus are to diligently attempt to clear the record by retrieving the book or cost of the book and sending it to the sending campus Librarian until Halloween of the first year the student is on the receiving campus. 2. After Halloween, the receiving campus Librarian informs the sending campus Librarian about the student's record that needs to be cleared. 3. The sending campus Librarian clears the student's record. The receiving campus Librarian does not have to collect fines accumulated at the sending campus--only the materials overdue or cost of materials overdue. Below is the link to instructions for getting a list of students who still owe a campus money, but have gone on to other schools. http://it.springbranchisd.com/sbisd_library/librarians/technical_issues/Lizdoc/Clear%20students.htm |
