| Library Funds do not purchase classroom sets. The vast
majority of the time one or two copies of any one title are adequate. When
purchasing books from TLA lists (e.g. Bluebonnet) consider buying one
Library binding copy and up to 4 other copies in paperback or soft-back
binding. |
| A major component of SBISD Librarians' selection procedure
is to review books for and spend time evaluating books at the Annual Book
Exhibit. At the Book Exhibit Librarians, teachers, students, and community
members have an opportunity to conduct hands-on evaluation of nearly 3,000
books and be able to peruse the catalog created from Librarians' written
reviews of the books. |

| Books should be purchased to support the TEKS student
